Cydia is a package installer/manager for the iPhone and iPod Touch created , which allows users to browse and download applications, from the assorted sources. The applications are downloaded directly to the iPhone or iPod Touch. To better understand what Cydia is, it can be described as the hackers version of the iTunes App Store. Once you open Cydia, you will be bombarded with the biggest list of applications ,most of which are free. One of the best think about Cydia is that having it on your iphone is the first step of unlocking your iphone.
How do I get Cydia to my Iphone?

I got Cydia on my iPhone, what do I do now?
Make sure your iPhone is connected to Internet.I recommend Wi-Fi, but it works on 3Gto.
- Open Cydia app on iPhone.
- At the first time running Cydia, you will be asked “Who Are You” which will determine how Cydia app interface will be displayed on your iPhone. Tap “User (Graphical Only)” (recommended for common users).
- Cydia will check for packages updates and ask you to update its database if any updates available.I recommend you to select Complete Upgrade , but you can select Upgrade Essential .You can see the progress in the top says: “Downloading packages” which will download new packages index.
- Tap Confirm to start upgrading.
- Wait until the process complete, then tap Close Cydia (Restart)
Before being able to install an application you must first add the repository where that application is located.Repository Generically refers to a central place where data is stored and maintained.To add a repository do like this:
- Open Cydia app on iPhone.
- From Cydia Home, choose Manage.
- Choose Sources
- You will see the list of sources that have been installed on your iPhone.
- Choose Edit in the top right of the screen, then choose Add in the top left of the screen.
- Enter the URL of Cydia repo, which you want to add then tap Add Source. Cydia will verify the entered URL, then Reloading Data.
- Once the verifying and updating process is done, tap Return to Cydia, then Tap Done button to finalize this process.

So how can I install an application after all?
There are two ways for installing an application:
1.
Press Install [on the bottom]
Browse through categories to Games
Select the application you want to install
Press Install on top right
Press Confirm to begin the download and installation
2.Using the Search button so you can find an application without having to go through countless categories
Press Search
Type part of the application name or description in the search box at top
The list is filtered as you type, and all matching applications are shown.
Press Install on top right
Press Confirm to begin the download and installation
